New DLC Brings Major New Content to the Blockbuster Title with New Solo Mode, Limit Breaker Journey, 33 New Characters and More

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. today announced the launch of the biggest DLC release for DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO. The new DLC Super Limit-Breaking NEO is available now for PlayStation®5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam®, with Nintendo Switch™ and Nintendo Switch™2 launching at a later date. The new DLC is the first major release bringing exciting new content to the hit anime brawler, which launched to fan and critical acclaim in 2024. The Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC expands the game with four new Episode Battles, new Extra Battles and four all-new stages. It also adds a new Solo Mode, Limit Breaker Journey, and 33 new playable characters spanning DRAGON BALL, DRAGON BALL Z, DRAGON BALL SUPER and DRAGON BALL GT. New Features & Characters

Among the big new updates in the DLC is Limit Breaker Journey mode, which allows players to choose a favorite character and provides the opportunity to strengthen them over time through increasingly powerful opponent battles. Through progression, players can enhance their fighter's stats and customize progression to match their preferred playstyle, creating a unique combat experience with every round. Additionally, players get four new Episode Battles, four new stages, and 33 new characters from the DRAGON BALL universe including the following:

• DRAGON BALL: Mercenary Tao, Grandpa Gohan, General Blue, Ma Junior, Chi-Chi, Demon King Piccolo or Goku (World Tournament)
• DRAGON BALL Z: Mighty Mask, Supreme Kai, or Uub (Kid), Zangya, Bardock (Super Saiyan), Chilled and others
• DRAGON BALL GT: Super 17, Vegeta (GT), Trunks (GT), Nuova Shenron (GT) and Hell Fighter 17
• DRAGON BALL SUPER: Champa, Jaco, Cheelai and others

Free Update Gameplay Enhancements

DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO is also getting a free update starting today that provides a range of gameplay enhancements, including two brand-new game play mechanics and three additional stage variants. The new mechanics include "Sparking Boost," which allows players in Sparking mode to consume a large amount of Skill Stock and a temporary stats reduction in exchange for a considerable attack boost. "Chain Blast" introduces a new combo mechanic, where after launching an opponent, players can switch to a reserve ally and continue the assault with a Blast attack. This combo mechanic leads to devastating follow-up damage and deeper team-based strategies.

DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO is the sequel to the DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series, delivering lightning-paced combat, large destructible environments, and a massive roster of fan-favorite characters.
