Fishing Comes to Bless Unleashed Soon!

The Spear of Salvation update is coming, and we want to share some crafting changes coming soon to Bless Unleashed, as well as introduce you to the new fishing system!

The Spear of Salvation will introduce a brand new fishing system to Bless Unleashed! Players who are interested in fishing will soon be able to begin their journey to become master fishers by starting a new quest at the Carzacor docks that will introduce them to fishing in Bless Unleashed!

Once completed, players can find fishing spots throughout Lumios, and different fish will be found in different regions of the world. Once caught, players can either sell their fish, or take them to a soul pyre and dismantle them for materials.

To catch a fish, you’ll need a rod, reel, line, and some bait! The rod and reel you have equipped will even change the appearance of your fishing pole. The better your equipment, the easier time you will have fishing! You’ll start out by talking to a nearby NPC to let them know you’d like to fish. Once you’ve done that, take aim, and cast your line with RT/R2. A Power Gauge will appear, and you’ll release the button when you think you have enough power to hit your mark.

You’ll want to aim for a hot spot, where the fish seem more active, and remember to account for the wind in your cast!

Your controller will vibrate a little as the fish explore your bait, and will begin vibrating strongly when it’s time to hook your catch. Press RT/R2 again to set the hook. After, you’ll need to reel your fish in using the RT/R2 button again. The fish will certainly fight back, so watch your line color carefully, if it turns yellow or red, your chances to finish your catch go down immensely!. When the fish is fighting, you’ll want to ease up by releasing the button, and resume reeling it in when they’re done.

Once you’ve caught your fish, you’ll get a chance to see what kind of fish you’ve caught, and it’s size. The larger your catch, the more valuable your fish when you go to sell or salvage it!

Advanced Crafting

The Spear of Salvation update will also introduce new advanced crafting techniques, allowing players to additionally increase their crafting levels. Doing so will allow players to craft higher level equipment, increase effects on consumables, or even craft new estate decorations!

When a player reaches level 10 in any crafting skill after the update, they will receive a quest which must be completed to advance their level. You will be able to advance all five crafting skills to the first level of mastery, but you may only truly master one crafting skill, so you must choose carefully!
