Letter from the GUNDAM BATTLE: GUNPLA WARFARE Team on Ver 1.4

April 1, 2020

▼Introduction

Hello, everyone.

This is the GUNDAM BATTLE: GUNPLA WARFARE team.

Today we'd like to share a part of the Ver. 1.4 update, an example of a new enhancement feature called Builders Training, and an announcement regarding revisions to the Pick-Up Capsule drop rates.

▼Ver. 1.4 Update Information

Gallery Feature for Photo Studio

We will be implementing a Gallery feature that will allow you to browse photos that other users have published to share.

You can give likes to Gallery photos, as well as interact with other players.

Take this chance to publish all your favorite custom Gunpla photos!

We're also planning a campaign around this feature, although that will be a little farther down the road.

Alleviating Parts Box Crowding

We've heard from several players that as Gunpla parts continue to grow in number,

it's becoming harder to find space in the Parts Box and use it effectively.

The team has been aware of this storage problem for a while and we've discussed how to best solve it.

Unfortunately, there are a number of concerns to address, for instance: simply adding more slots to the Parts Box will increase server load.

So we've decided to add the following refinements to the Ver. 1.4 update.

1

Removal of the part rarity upgrade limit

(Part trait/EX Skill limit set to Lv 10 max)

2

Additional cumulative EXP when upgrading parts

(Part level, part trait level, EX Skill level)

3

New blueprint materials and crafting methods for Gear

The first and second refinements will remove the need to have multiples of the same part as materials for tuned up parts,

which will hopefully lessen Parts Box crowding.

The third refinement will change the required materials for Gear blueprints

from parts to a new material called "scrap."

You can earn scrap when you sell parts, with more parts being worth more scrap.

Selling unneeded parts, which players had been saving for use as materials, and exchanging for scrap

is another way that we hope to reduce Parts Box crowding.

(Selling parts will still result in the same exchange rate of Capital and Platinum Coins.)

That's all for today's partial preview of the Ver. 1.4 update.

We plan to release more information on new features and other updates on the official website in the coming days.

We hope you can all look forward to it.

▼B.T. Enhancement in Action

Builders Training (B.T.) was added as a new parts enhancement feature

in the Ver. 1.3 update in February 2020.

We've noticed that many players have been making use of the new feature,

as it's able to greatly increase the parameters of your parts.

We also imagine that there are several of you who have low rarity parts that you want to enhance

because they still have sentimental value.

So today we've prepared an example of the resulting Combat Power for a low rarity part tuned up to 5★,

upgraded to Lv 80, and with all slots equipped with 5★ B.T. Marks.

Note that the number of B.T. Marks you can equip is based on the part's initial rarity.

with more slots for lower rarity parts.

4★ parts: 1 slot, 3★ parts: 2 slots, 2★ parts: 3 slots, 1★ parts: 4 slots

(when tuned up to 5★)

*Some parts do not follow this rule (Gundam Artemis, Codeφ, etc.)

How about that?

Even low rarity parts can carry you through a high difficulty mission when they've been enhanced this much.

There are also a number of low rarity parts (1★/2★) with excellent EX Skills or part traits.

Plus, it's comparatively easier to upgrade them because they're easier to get your hands on.

So why not take this opportunity to try out B.T. parts enhancement?

Currently you can only use B.T. enhancement on one part per week,

but we will be adding an item that can reset that limit in Ver. 1.4.

Please refer to upcoming announcements on the official website for more details.

▼B.T. Promotion Campaign

We will be holding a special campaign where you can upgrade specific parts and get items

for three weeks starting from March 31st (Tue) 20:00 PST.

By performing the following enhancements on at least one part from each week's event Gunpla, you'll be able to receive the reward items below each week.

・Tuned up to at least 4★

・Upgraded to at least Lv 60

・At least one B.T. Mark equipped (any rarity)

Please refer to the in-game notice for campaign details.

▼Revisions to Pick-up Capsule Drop Rates

The team often hears from players that they keep getting Gunpla parts other than the Pick-Up parts in Pick-Up Capsules.

So from March 31, 2020 (Tue) (PST), we will increase the drop rates of specific Pick-Up Capsules.

The change will apply to the following Capsules. See the in-game notices for details.

Revised Capsules

- Pick-Up Gunpla Parts Capsules

- Sokai Festival

- Gundam Battle Festival

▼Closing Note

It will still take a little more time until we are ready to release the Ver. 1.4 update,

but we will be able to share some additional information during mid-April

so please look forward to that in the meantime.

Also, we're aware that we are releasing this letter on April 1st (April Fool's Day),

but please rest assured that the contents of this letter and any in-game notices are not pranks.

Thank you for your continued support of GUNDAM BATTLE: GUNPLA WARFARE.
