1. When will Little Nightmares III release?

Little Nightmares III will release on October 10, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

2. How does co-op work in the game?

In Little Nightmares III, coop is online, you will therefore need an internet connection.

In order to allow the most people to play the game in co-op, we’ll include at launch a Friend’s Pass on the different platforms where it’s possible. Thanks to the Friend’s Pass, only one copy of the game is required to enjoy Little Nightmares III with a friend.

When starting the game in co-op it needs to be finished in co-op with the same two players as you can’t go from solo to co-op and vice-versa in the same save. You can however start a new save with another friend or in solo! Players will have up to 8 saves.

3. Is Online co-op cross platform?

You can play together on the platforms from the same manufacturer (PS4<>PS5, XB1<>XSX, NSW<>NSW2). The game is not cross-platform between different manufacturers.

4. What are the different versions available for Little Nightmares III?

The game comes with several editions.

• Standard: This edition contains the main game.
• Deluxe: This edition includes Secrets of The Spiral - Expansion Pass (a pack containing 2 additional game chapters to be released at a later date and the Ferryman Costumes Set). This edition also includes the Resident Costumes Pack.
• Mirror Edition: A collector's edition available at retail stores. It includes all content from the Deluxe Edition as well as a figurine, a metal case, a physical artbook, a physical and digital OST, some stickers, and branded packaging suitable for display.
• Premium Spiral Edition: An exclusive Bandai Namco Store Collector's Edition. It includes all the content of the Mirror Edition, and in addition to that, an enhanced music box base for the figurine, a Nome controller and phone holder, and a double side metal coin engraved with portraits of Low and Alone.

5. Will the game have DLCs?

Yes. The Expansion Pass includes two additional game chapters that will further explore and reveal the mysteries of the Spiral. More details will be shared at a later date. Costume Packs are also included in some editions and will be available for purchase separately at launch on all platforms. 

6. Will all of the content in the Secrets of The Spiral - Expansion Pass be available when Little Nightmares III launches?

The Ferryman Costume set will be available in game when Little Nightmares III launches on October 10, 2025. The additional game chapters will be released at a later date to be announced.

7. How does the Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition included in pre-orders of Little Nightmares III work?

Pre-ordering a digital copy of Little Nightmares III on all platforms (except Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2) grants players early access to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition. This early access is only playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and the digital entitlement is platform-specific. Players who pre-order on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will have the entitlement linked to their user profile but won't be able to play the game until they upgrade their respective platforms to their next gen versions: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

8. Is Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition early access available worldwide?

This early access offer is available worldwide, except for Japan from June 24, 2025 to October 10, 2025. Then, on October 10, 2025, Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition will launch worldwide.

9. Is Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition available for players that pre-order Little Nightmares III on PS4/Xbox One and then upgrade?

Yes, pre-ordering a digital copy on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will include an early access license for Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, but it will only be playable on the respective upgraded hardware: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

10. Is this Enhanced Edition offer available on Nintendo Switch / Nintendo Switch 2?

This extra pre-order bonus is not available on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2. Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition early access is only available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. When the game launches on October 10, 2025, it will be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.

11. Do people who already own Little Nightmares (2017) will be able to play the early access of Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition?

The early access is only accessible throughout Little Nightmares III digital pre-orders. However, at launch, players who own Little Nightmares (2017) on PlayStation, Xbox and PC will receive the upgraded version for free.

12. Are the DLCs included in Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition early access?

Only the Standard Edition of the game is available in early access. At launch, the Complete Edition will release and will include the three DLCs. For players who don’t own the three DLCs, they will be able to buy their enhanced version separately at launch. For players who already own Little Nightmares DLCs (2017) they will receive the upgraded version for free at launch on October 10, 2025. DLCs masks are no longer sold separately and have directly been included in the game!

13. Why have you decided to have the game available in early access for pre-orders?

We wanted to thank our fans and community by giving them a chance to dive or re-dive into the game that started it all, now enhanced in 4K and 60 FPS - which will either bring good memories or be a great entry point for franchise newcomers! This will also be a great way to get ready for Little Nightmares III.

Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition

14. When will Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition release?

Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition will launch on October 10, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Early access is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, exclusively through digital pre-orders of Little Nightmares III. Entitlement is platform-specific. 

15. Why have you decided to release Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition?

After 8 years, we wanted to update the game to 2025 standards, letting players relive the story of six trying to escape the Maw.

16. What types of changes have been made?

Several changes have been made - visual effects have been improved, including RTX reflections, water effects, more particles and volumetric shadows – to adapt the game to today’s standard. We’ve also included some additional helpers for an overall better experience, such as more checkpoints and tutorials, reduced loading times - all while keeping the game true to the original version’s DNA.

17. Is the upgrade from Little Nightmares to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition free?

At launch, players who already own a digital copy of Little Nightmares (2017) on PlayStation, Xbox and PC will automatically receive the Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition for free in their library on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC.

18. Is the upgrade from Little Nightmares to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition free for Nintendo Switch owners?

Due to technical constraints, owners of Nintendo Switch consoles and Little Nightmares (2017) won’t be able to get access to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition. They will need to buy again the game on Nintendo Switch 2. As a reminder, Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition is only playable on Nintendo Switch 2 and not Nintendo Switch.
