Bandai Namco released a SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream trailer which showcases key features for single-player and online modes.

In Single-Player Mode, players will relive the story by facing enemies from the past, going on adventures, unraveling the mysteries of anomalies and more to discover the cause of Galaxia's outburst. Players will also encounter sub-scenarios to see how allies interact with one another, especially between characters who have never met before. Through gameplay progression, players will unlock and control more characters. Will you reenact famous scenes from SWORD ART ONLINE playing as the characters in the scenes or will you create your own new scenes?

In Online-Only Mode, players can team up with up to 20 other players and play Co-Op Quest, Boss Raid and Free Roam with playable characters divided into six roles, including Fighter, Tank, Rogue, Ranger, Mage and Support.

• Co-op Quest: Cooperative quests for 5 parties of 4, up to a maximum of 20 people. Players will need to clear missions divided by areas to be conquered by the whole party, followed by encountering a challenging boss at the end. 
• Boss Raid: Players will go all out and battle against a giant boss enemy, with up to 20 characters working to take it down requiring cooperation and strategy to achieve victory.
• Free Roam (Can also be challenged alone): Players will freely explore and meet other online players to enjoy a co-op experience.
