The High Priestess of Teleos

In the years following The Breaking, many refugees found their way to Telarion. The god Teleos guided the lost and desperate worshipers to his holy island sanctuary, and all were welcomed. Perhaps the most prominent refugee to arrive during this time was Demea, who would go on to become the High Priestess of Teleos.

For centuries Demea has been a devout follower of Teleos, working to ensure the safety of Telarion. Rumours abound regarding her past, as she has lived far longer than is natural, even for an elf—and guests on the island have been known to whisper that she must possess an ancient and powerful magic. Despite the mystery surrounding her life before the island, the people of Lumios look favorably upon her for her good works: She has spent years finding and rescuing orphans from the mainland, and is caring and compassionate to all who visit her temple. In fact, there seems to be only one thing that truly earns her ire: any guest who pries too deeply into her past soon finds themselves unceremoniously dumped into the deep blue waters of Telarion’s harbor, with a one-way ticket back to the mainland, and firm instructions never to return.
