Tutorial Guide
Learning a new game can be difficult! To help ease new players into Bless Unleashed, an extended tutorial is available. However, if you’re new to consoles, MMOs, or both, here are some tips to help get you started.
A Bad Dream
When your character first enters the game you’ll be in a dream, and your character has great power available to them! You’ll need to advance through this dream, and destroy several groups of orcs. They’re pretty easy as long as you remember these tips:
Move your character with the left analog stick.
Change where your character is looking with the right analog stick.
Use the X or Y buttons to attack your enemies.
If you’re playing a ranged class, make sure the crosshair in the center of your screen is red before attacking. This tells when you’re in range and your attack will hit!
When the orcs attack, roll out of the way and dodge the attacks with the left shoulder button, or LB.
You can use special abilities called blessings to deal more damage than normal to your foes. Hold down the right shoulder button, or RB button on your controller, and press the X, B, Y, or A button at the same time to use a Blessing.
Once you make your way through the orcs, you’ll face a powerful cyclops! If the cyclops freezes you, rapidly pressing the four buttons at the top of your controller (RT, LT, RB, LB) will unfreeze you shortly. You can then run behind his eye beam attack and resume attacking.
It’s ok if you die once or twice during this fight. You have unlimited lives and can keep going until you defeat the creature.
Telarion
After defeating the Cyclops, you’ll wake from your dream and find a note sitting on a nearby table from your friend Foy. Walk to the note and hold down the A button to read it. Then, head outside to meet up with Foy. Take your time here, and familiarize yourself with moving around and navigating the world of Bless Unleashed more. There is no time limit to get through this next part of the tutorial, and the island of Telarion is a beautiful place to explore.
Once you find Foy, simply walk up to him and press the A button to initiate conversation with him. Take note of the blue shield over his head. This icon means that the character has a quest for you! Talk to Foy, and then head off to explore Telarion some more.
You’ll soon meet Olvera, the fortune teller who offers some advice. She suggests helping some of the inhabitants of the island to gain favor with the gods. As you continue to explore this peaceful island, you’ll find several opportunities to do just that.
The brewmaster and stage manager have side quests you may complete. They award some extra experience (which allows you to increase your level and power in the game), and some handy health potions. They also teach you how to gather crafting materials from mineral deposits and plants.
The Festival of Teleos
After helping your neighbors on the island it’s time for some fun! The brewmaster informs you a Sorza Knight is nearby and suggests you go talk to him. However, the Knight is more interested in testing your skills as a warrior. It’s all good though! You don’t have the same powers as you did in your dream, but you did just beat a cyclops. Take him down!
After dueling with the Sorza knight, head over to the fountain in the center of the square and meet back up with Foy. He’ll tell you more about the festival, and suggest you go try a few of the events while he finishes his work. You must complete one event, but each one you complete will reward you with more experience and health potions!
After you’re done at the festival, re-group with Foy, who wants to race you. Finish the friendly contest, and then head over to meet Don Diego before finally going to talk to High Priestess Medea about your dream, and your approaching day of choosing.
Once you leave Teleos’ temple, your adventure truly begins. Take the first steps on the road to your destiny and make them pray!
