Mobile Suit Gundam Wing is one of the first instances of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise making major inroads in the West. The fan-favorite series follows five teenage Gundam pilots in the year After Colony 195; with the start of "Operation Meteor," the outer space colonies plan to free themselves from the oppressive rule of OZ and the Earth Sphere Alliance. With complex, interconnected storylines, Gundam Wing enthralled the West with both drama and intense mecha combat. Debuting 30 years ago in Japan, Gundam Wing remains one of the most popular series in Gundam’s history.
