Battle Tips
Tip No. 1
"Reviving with Thorns"
When an ally or Accesory is downed, instead of getting closer to interact with them directly, you can also launch your Thorn from a distance to revive them.
Forcibly rushing towards your ally might result in both of you getting killed, so make sure to revive your allies using you Thorn whenever you have some Will'O to spare.
Tip No. 2
"Replenishing Will'O"
The blue glowing objects scattered throughout the maps are imbued with Will'O.
In fact, you can instantly recover your gauge by shooting your Thorn at these objects.
Always be on the look out for any spots around you where you can recover Will'O to maintain your mobilty.
Tip No. 3
"Thorn Cancels"
There's a fixed recovery time period after performing close-range attacks. However, you can cancel that animation by launching a Thorn right after performing an action.
This is an essential technique that allows you to string together quick "close-range attack→Thorn launch→close-range attack" combos.
Use this Thorn cancelling technique as you battle the Abductors.
Tip No. 4
"Dash Cancels"
You can cancel a Dash instantly by pressing the Use Item button when you have no items ready at your disposal.
This can be used to "Dash→Use empty item→String close-range attacks together", making it possible to get closer to the enemies quickly and charge at them with close-range attacks.
Try out this technique on fallen Large Abductors.
Tip No. 5
"Aiming Tips"
You will need to aim manually at the enemies before shooting when equipping long-range weapons. However, you can make sure to hit an enemy automatically by shooting while holding that enemy with your Thorn.
Make sure to try this approach and use your Thorn on fast enemies that are hard to hit with long-range weapons.
Companion Tips
You can ask other Sinners to join you as companions in your operations.
Uwe
Besides his high Attack Power, the Shielding provided by his Thorn also allows him to play defensively, making him equally good at offense and defense. He will actively cover you as you drag down an enemy, so we recommend him for those who tend to use drag down tactics.
Mattias
He specializes in close-range attacks, but the recovery capabilities of his Healing Thorn make him a well-balanced ally. He likes to zero in on the Large Abductors, so we recommend taking him along in any missions involving battles with Large Abductors.
Carlos
In line with his strong personality, he tends to prioritize taking down the Large Abductors. Equipped with a Binding Thorn, we recommend him to those who favor a playstyle based on taking down Large Abductors with focused attacks.
Beatrice
Despite her low Attack Power, she has outstanding healing capabilities and tends to prioritize reviving downed allies, making it easy to recommend her as a companion for players who worry about being able to keep up during long battles. Also, she will actively locate citizens, making her especially good at Citizen Reclamation operations.
Elfriede
Armed with her Knuckles, she has a strong tendency towards close-range combat. She's also good at dodging, making her less likely to get downed. She will also provide active support during drag downs, so we recommend her to those who tend to use drag down tactics.
Natalia
She's a sharp shooter known for her high precision attacks using sniper Rifles. She tends to prioritize attacking Sinners and from On High enemies, making her a recommended partner for those who like to focus on fighting Large Abductors.
Hal
He focuses on attacking Sinners using a combination of Light Melee and Assault Weapons. He also makes revival a top priority, turning him into a well-balanced companion.
Ann
Don't let her shy and reserved personality fool you. She excels at attacking enemies from far away using long-range weapons. She tends to target Small Abductors, so we recommend her to players who like to focus on battling the Large Abductors themselves.
Marie
Rather than chasing after the enemies herself, she focuses on intercepting and defeating any incoming enemies. She tends to prioritize reviving fallen allies, helping to keep the team going on through longer battles. She will also focus on locating citizens, making her especially good at Citizen Reclamation operations.
Billy
He's a sinner that likes to shoot from long distances, but the precision of his attacks is considerably low. He tends to target other enemies besides Large Abductors, making him more recommended for those who like to focs on fighting the Large Abductors themselves.
Nina
She takes advantage of her high-mobility arms to actively sever enemy limbs, making her highly recommended for those who like to focus on destroying enemy parts. However, trying to sever enemy limbs often also makes her more prone to receive damage, so it's better to pair her with a companion that prioritizes healing and reviving allies.
Shizuka
A character that utilizes Heavy Melee to deal some serious damage. She will also provide active support for drag downs, making her a good choice for those who like to overwhelm Large Abductors. She also tends to prioritize control units, which makes her especially helpful for Seize Control operations.
Kai
He prioritizes attacking other Sinners, but also provides active support to cut off parts from large enemies. He also excels at dodging and healing, providing a good balance between offense and defense.
Sergio
A well-balanced character for long-range attacks and drag downs. His high focus on revivals might be due to his mentor-like personality, which makes him a good choice for players who need some help for longer battles.
Billy and Shizuka
You will need to talk to Billy and Shizuka inside the Panopticon to have them join as companions. Make sure to explore The Warren and Zakka as shown in the image after completing the operation "G03-3 Shadoow: Eliminate Enemy".
Other Tips
Tip No. 1
Mugshot Pose
During the online operations, each Sinner (player) will have a Mugshot Pose. However, you can change this pose through your Sinner's voice settings.
Access the "Request Physical Remodelling" option from the monitor inside your prison cell, and change your character's voice until you find your favorite pose, then proceed with your operations.
Tip No. 2
Thumbprints
When your sentence time is updated through a Disciplinary Notice, you will be able to sign it with your thumbprint by pressing the Touchpad on your PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5, or the screen of your Nintendo Switch™ with your thumb.
Press firmly with your thumb as a sign of respect towards your Panopticon.
Tip No. 3
Invasion Mission Tips
The "Invasion Missions" are important, as they will affect the GDPP of enemy Panopticons (PT) and raise your own ranking in the League of Panopticons.
"Invasion Permits" are required to participate in the "Invasion Missions", but the required number of permits changes based on the difference in ranking with the enemy PTs.
You can take on these missions by using a single permit for PTs located close to your ranking, so it's recommended to start with them.
Tip No. 4
Personal Responsibility Portal Secrets
You can change the background color of your Personal Responsibility Portal by heading to "Options" and then choosing a color from the "Display Options".
After making this change, the new color will also be reflected on your Accessory's eye color.
We also recommend this setting for those who want to be watched by their Accessory at all times.
Tip No. 5
Recommendations on Resources
You can gather various resources as you complete operations. However, the ones labeled as "Weapon Component" cannot be used to directly produce or enhance weapons, so it's better to donate them and receive Entitlement Points instead.
You can donate resources through the "Donate for the Greater Good" option located inside the "Window on Liberty" menu of your prison cell's monitor.
We hope these tips for FREEDOM WARS Remastered help you become a more effective and strategic player. By utilizing techniques like Thorn Cancels and Dash Cancels, and selecting the right companions for your operations, you'll be well-equipped to tackle any challenge the game throws at you. Remember, every mission is an opportunity to improve and refine your skills. Gear up, stay vigilant, and make your mark in the Panopticon. Happy gaming, and may your freedom be within reach!
