Exclusive Behind-The-Scenes Details For Upcoming DLC
Fans of CAPTAIN TSUBASA: RISE OF NEW CHAMPIONS have reason to celebrate in December. Here is game producer, Tsuzuki Katsuaki, to speak more about the upcoming DLC!
New Players Enter The Field
Those who have purchased the Character Pass will have access to three new characters as of December 3rd.
The new characters include Swedish attacking midfielder Stefan Levin, Thai defender Singprasert Bunnaak, and Mexican goalkeeper Ricardo Espadas. They all appear in the "Battle of World Youth" story arc and have their own unique characteristics, that can be taught to player created characters through training events.
Let’s learn a little bit more about each one of them:
Stefan Levin (Sweden)
Levin is a classy character who loves to play soccer, which reflects his playing style and the speed at which his Shot Move fills up.
The Aurora Feint is one his most memorable moves: not only does it get him through opponents, but it also makes his Shot Move fill up faster, and his finishing move even more deadly.
Your character can participate in training events with Levin and learn his techniques.
Singprasert Bunnaak (Thailand)
Bunnaak is often described as a defensive fortress, that uses Muay Thai techniques to stop his opponents… but “the Buunnaak” goes far beyond that. His strength allows him to decrease his opponents' abilities whenever he can successfully block a slide tackle. He can perform a Muay Thai jump kick, in which he kicks the ball over his opponent in order to move forward. By combining powerful blocks and his ability to move forward while also weakening his opponents, Bunnaak provides exciting gameplay for both new and experienced players.
At a training event, he can teach your character how to perform his Muay Thai defense, which affects the opponent’s Zone Gauge and causes great damage.
Ricardo Espadas (Mexico)
The greater the risk, the greater the reward! That is Espada’s motto. The Mexican goalkeeper has a number of counter attacking skills and he shines even more after catching a shot. He can join the attack as a surprise element and cause damage to his opponent's defense. When dribbling an opponent, his Spirits Gauge fills up, which, in the case of goalkeepers, happens when a defense is made. That encourages the player to take certain risks. He is a character who tends to be excellent in the hands of more experienced players.
At a training event, your character can learn a skill that increases the power of the shot and fills up the Shot Move of the player who receives the pass.
Plus, FREE content for everyone!
Starting December 2nd, you will be able to play side by side with the Otomo Middle School Team and play a rematch against Nankastu. The idea is to have the player created character play alongside Nitta and his team, in order to beat Tsubasa and change the course of history.
You will also find differences in a few of the mechanics, such as in the Team Gauge and in the Appeal Command.
The December news package also brings changes to gameplay. One of them - which was requested by many players - is the Assist Mode, which is only available for "EPISODE: TSUBASA." This aims to make the game more accessible for those who found it hard to go from one difficulty level to the next.
Assist Mode can be selected in the Match Settings menu. When selected, it will highlight the target player and improve skills such as shot strength, speed, as well as make the gauge fill up faster. If the selected character is a goalkeeper, his spirit gauge will be reloaded, making the player's life easier.
Assist Mode can cover only Tsubasa or all players on your team.
Well Balanced Matches
The changes in CAPTAIN TSUBASA: RISE OF NEW CHAMPIONS were developed after requests from fans (Like you!) to help ensure that matches become more balanced. They are focused on four specific areas:
- Shot Strength and Related Skills: Adjustments have been made to balance uneven situations where the player can use skills related to the strength of shots several times, accumulating improvements beyond necessary.
- Combo Shots: The changes include moves where player created characters can participate.
- Skylab Hurricane: The range of movement was greater than necessary, so it has been reduced.
- Shot Stats in Episode: New Hero: Shot stats have been balanced in order to rise easily. There was an increase to the number of points needed for when the goalkeeper’s Spirit. Gauge is reduced.
Player opinion was taken into account when these changes were made and will continue to be considered for future updates!
