The DLC "The Forsaken Hollows" — releasing on December 4th — will add two Nightfarers, two new bosses, and one new Shifting Earth.

Their respective unlock conditions are as follows:

Unlock the Nightfarers

Unlocking the new additional Nightfarers, Scholar and Undertaker, requires you to defeat "Tricephalos."

Once you've defeated Tricephalos, head to Roundtable Hold and speak with the Iron Menial, who has a message from the Small Jar Merchant.

Unlock the New Bosses

To unlock the boss "Balancers" in the DLC "The Forsaken Hollows," you must meet the following conditions:

• You must have defeated at least two bosses in the main game, "ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN," including "Tricephalos" and one other boss.
• Both of the newly added Nightfarers, Scholar and Undertaker, must be made playable.

Once you meet the conditions, head to the chapel that opens up behind the Small Jar Merchant. 

After that, you will be able to challenge the cataclysmic Shifting Earth event 'The Great Hollows' and the boss expedition for the Balancers.Furthermore, with a post-release update, the Shifting Earth, raid events, and bases — all newly added content from this DLC — will begin to appear in Deep of Night, even when you are undertaking base game  expeditions.

Please note: For these DLC-exclusive contents to appear in Deep of Night, you will need to matchmake with three players who own the DLC.

How to activate DLC on each platform

Please note: If you have already purchased the DLC through a Deluxe Edition or pre-order, a manual download will be required.

 You can find the option below the ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN icon after the release date.

Xbox Series X|S & Xbox One

If you have already purchased the DLC through a Deluxe Edition or pre-order, a manual download will be required.

You can find the option below the ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN icon after the release date.

Additionally, for both Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One, you can also download it from your owned titles list.

From the top of the home screen, select My Collection, hover over the main ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN game, and press the Menu button.

From the menu, select “Manage Games & Add-ons,” then choose the tile displaying the main ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN game icon.

In the list of add-ons, check the box next to the DLC you wish to add, select “Save Changes,” and proceed with the installation.

Automatic downloads for the DLC "The Forsaken Hollows" will begin at 8:00 AM JST/0:00 UTC on December 4th.

Please note that to access the DLC, you will need to download Update File 1.03, which is scheduled for release on December 3rd.
