SAND LAND – Dev Diaries - Episode 3 : Base Development
Check out the details about SAND LAND Base Development in the third episode of Dev Diaries.
In previous episodes of our Dev Diaries, we covered topics such as Enemies and Vehicles, as well as Dungeons and Subquests. In the third episode, we delve into the details of the Base Camp with Samantha Reinert, Social Marketing Manager at Bandai Namco Entertainment America, and Keishu Minami, the Game Producer, discussing the creation of this vital space for Beelzebub and his team in their journeys through Sand Land.
Keishu Minami clarifies that the Base serves as a crucial support for players as they progress through the narrative and explore the universe of SAND LAND. Located in the Spino, in the center of Sand Land, it is a recurring point of return during the main campaign.
Initially, there aren't many inhabitants in the base, but as the player completes subquests, the number of residents and structures gradually increases, and the entire region begins to grow and develop. This growth, in turn, unlocks new missions for the players.
The Base is also where players can prepare for their adventures. There are shops to buy items useful in combat, specific places to customize vehicle parts, and locations to paint them in the player's favorite way.
And there's more! Players can create accommodations for Beelzebub and arrange furniture as they prefer. Additionally, it is possible to customize wallpapers and other decorative items – some of them themed – creating a personalized space to take a break at the end of the day.
