Bandai Namco Heats up the Show, Inviting Popular Personalities and Shout Casters to Enlist Players to Take on the Night in a New ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN Demo, and Organizing a Panel with SHADOW LABYRINTH and Other Action-Platformer Devs
Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. is heating up springtime in Boston with can’t miss activations at PAX East, including a brand new demo for FromSoftware, Inc.’s hotly anticipated next game, ELDEN RING™ NIGHTREIGN. The demo will feature large in an immersive theater on the show floor, where popular content creators will enlist players to take on the game’s challenging three-player co-op action, and if successful win prizes for everyone the audience. SHADOW LABYRINTH™, the 2D action platformer with a surprising Sci-Fi take on the iconic PAC-MAN™, will also be at the show as part of the panel “A Platform for Adventure: Metroidvania Game Makers Roundtable.” Organized by Bandai Namco, the panel brings together developers and subject matter expert Jeremy Parish as moderator to discuss the resurgence of the genre.

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN is a standalone PvE co-op action game set in the same universe as the bestselling action RPG ELDEN RING™. This entirely new experience thrusts players into a harsh and unforgiving world, where they team up in squads of three to explore across a changing map and outlast a three day-and-night cycle to take on terrifying bosses known as Nightlords. PAX East attendees will have a chance to experience this game in a once-in-a-lifetime event, entering an immersive dome theater and participating in demos that will pair members of the audience with popular content creators. Seasoned Souls-like players Distortion2, Oroboro, LilAggy, Larxa, and Parkenharbor will enlist one lucky player for each demo session as they vie for prizes for everyone in attendance, while epic shout casters Jake Lyon and Shyowager amplify the action. ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN theater demos will run every hour at the Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. booth (16055); attendees will need to come to the booth to register for free to receive tickets with showtimes.
SHADOW LABYRINTH is part of the panel “A Platform for Adventure: Metroidvania Game Makers Roundtable.” Join experts who know what makes a great Metroidvania because they’re making them. Developers James Montagna, Director at WayForward Technologies, Inc. (Yars Rising), James Petruzzi, President at Bit Kid, Inc., (Chasm, WOLFHOUND), and Seigo Aizawa, Producer at Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. (SHADOW LABYRINTH) join moderator Jeremy Parish, Media Curator at Limited Run Games and prolific author of books on classic games. The group will delve into their inspirations for making Metroidvania games and uncover why this genre is back – and should have never gone away. The panel takes place at 2:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday, May 10, at the Albatross Theater. Attendees will get a SHADOW LABYRINTH ‘dark PAC-MAN’ themed collectible item while supplies last.
